CREDIT & COLLECTION ACCOUNTANT contract position
One of the industrys leading paper producers seeks Credit & Collection Accountant for up to one year.
This position is responsible for working with customers to collect timely payment within established payment terms and credit limit. Serving as a financial liaison representing the company to the customer, this person will have daily interaction with customers to collect past due balances and research reason for customer deductions. This individual will also work closely with sales, customer service and VP-Finance of the business segment. Responsible for establishing new and existing customer credit limits, monitoring customers on credit hold, monthly accounting for bad debt and DSO and involved with periodic financial and SOX audits.
Candidate should possess:
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting
• 1-3 years of related experience
• High degree of initiative
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal (most of the day is spent on the phone)
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
• Strong analytical and decision making ability
